 Pub beer festival  -    The Cricketers Inn, 228 London Rd, Westcliff on sea  SS0 7JG      26th-30th  November

As well as a normal beer festival, a world record attempt on the Saturday will see punters drinking a full brewers barrel  (288 pints) of Martin and Su. The plan is to get 96 people drinking 3 pints each. £10 entry inc 3 pints,shirt and branded glass proceeds to Haydon Hospices and the usual proceeds of 10p a pint going to Essex FM's 'Essex Kids' charity.

18-22 Nov (Tue-Sat) 29th Rochford Beer & Cider Festival

200+ Real Ales, over 35 Ciders, Foreign Beer + Specialised English Bottled Beer Bar. 70 beers from Bristol/Someset; 70 beers from East Anglia; 60 from the Best of the Rest. Food avail all sessions- also many varietys of pickled eggs. Extra capacity w/double the seating/tables. A music-free fest.

Open: Tue 5.30pm-11pm; Wed/Thu 11.30am-3pm, 5.30pm-11pm. Open all day Fri/Sat 11.30am-11pm. Free admission every session.
