Unite Pale Ale – Launch Invite

We hope you can join us for the launch of our version of the first International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day beer, Unite Pale Ale, on Saturday 26th April at 2pm at Wild Card Brewery in Walthamstow.

Brewsters will once again unite as we officially launch our version of Unite Pale Ale 4%, brewed in Brentwood by Head Brewer Sophie and a team of guest Brewsters including Jaega Wise of Wild Card Brewery, Sara Carter of FFF Brewery in Alton, Hampshire, author Jane Peyton and novice Brewster, Cassandra Orford.

We hope to have different versions of Unite Pale Ale 4% from Sara Barton of Brewsters and Sue Fisher from Gadd’s for you to taste.  Food will be available from Busan BBQ an Ameri-Korean Barbeque offering vegetarian options too, see  www.busanbbq.co.uk as well as Chips with Dips who are regulars Wild Card Brewery’s Saturday Open Days.  www.facebook.com/pages/Chips-with-dips/237864616386161?fref=ts

We have a few party games up our sleeves too with Pin the Flower on the Hop Bine and a tasting game, Malt Magic, where you guess which type of malt makes certain styles of beer.  There’s even talk of more Morris Dancing.

Author of Beer O’clock and School of Booze, Jane Peyton, will be leading tutored beer tasting sessions, giving tips on how to taste beer like a professional and discussing the history of beer.  She also has copies of her books for sale.

More than 70 breweries worldwide took part in the first International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day on International Women’s Day, March 8th.  Following the same recipe parameters but choosing their own additional flavourings, they each brewed unique versions of Unite Pale Ale 4%.  Brewsters are being encouraged to make charity donations from the sale of this beer.  Brentwood Brewing Company will be making donations to Warley-based children’s charity SNAP as well as the Brewster’s charity, The Pink Boots Society based inAmerica.

The idea for International Women’s Brew Day originated in Brentwood from our Head Brewer, Sophie de Ronde, and took off globally thanks to it being a really good idea plus help from Denise Ratfield in the USA and social media.
