The Cock Tavern, Ongar

The Cock Tavern in Ongar High Street has entered our free Brentwood In Bloom Pubs Competition for a chance to win a cask of fabulous Brentwood Beer.

Landlady Mary Goodman grew majority of the plants from seed for the pub’s troughs and hanging baskets.  It’s a real team effort here though as landlord Ian gets the daily task of watering – under strict supervision from Mary of course.

Checking out Mary’s colourful floral creations outside The Cock Tavern is two year old granddaughter Niyah.
