Seaside Special

We’re packing our buckets, spades and sunshades and heading off for Southend-on-Sea this weekend (6th & 7th June) for the borough’s new Maritime Festival.  We’ll be setting up the Brentwood Beer Tent on Southend Pier so that thirsty festival goers can enjoy a refreshing pint.

“We’ve never set up a beer tent on a pier before, although Brentwood Beer has been taken to some unusual places like Mount Kilimanjaro and the country’s tallest sculpture the red, twisting tower at the Olympic Park in Stratford.

“As we’re at the seaside, we’ll have the perfect beers to complement traditional fish and chips and seafood.  Try our Summer Virgin which goes particularly well with crab and all seafood.  Brentwood IPA is brilliant with fish and especially good with fish pie.

“Both beers are excellent thirst quenchers and with good weather forecast, top entertainment and treats to enjoy, it’s going to be  a great weekend.  Remember to pop along and see Dean in the beer tent for a great pint and remind him he promised to bring me back a stick of rock,” said MD Roland Kannor.

The festival has been organised by the council to celebrate Southend-on-Sea’s maritime heritage.  There’ll be live music, dancing, performances as well as celebrity chefs’ cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts and a full programme of fun activities for all the family.

What could be finer?  Picture yourself soaking up the atmosphere, sipping Brentwood Beer whilst dipping your toes in the briney?  See you there.

Love Beer, Love Brentwood
